Five centres, one standard of care

Same protocols, same consultants, same lens brands at every centre. What differs is what each building is equipped for — set out below so you do not travel to the wrong one.

What each centre offers

The comparison first, the addresses below it. If the procedure you need is not offered at your nearest centre, we assess you there and arrange the rest.

A dash means the procedure is not performed at that centre. In every such case we assess you locally, book the appointment at the centre that does perform it and send your records ahead.

Choosing

Which centre should you go to?

Most people should simply pick the nearest. These are the cases where it is worth travelling.

Go to Masab Tank if…

You need vitreoretinal surgery, a corneal transplant, orbital or complex eyelid surgery, paediatric surgery under general anaesthesia — or it is an emergency at any hour. It is the group's referral hospital and the only 24×7 centre.

Go to KPHB if…

You live in west Hyderabad and need appointments that fit around work. Open until 8:30 PM Monday to Saturday, and one of only two centres offering flapless SILK.

Go to Warangal or Nalgonda if…

You need cataract surgery, LASIK, diabetic retinopathy screening with laser or injections, or glaucoma management — and you would rather not make the trip to Hyderabad. Both open seven days a week.

Go to Badvel if…

You are in Kadapa district and cost is the barrier. Pricing is set for the district, and Aarogyasri and Ayushman Bharat paperwork is completed at the hospital.

Not sure? Just come in

Any centre can examine you and tell you where the treatment belongs. If it belongs elsewhere, we book it, send your records ahead and explain what the visit will involve before you travel.

For an emergency, do not choose

Sudden vision loss, injury, chemical splash or severe pain: call +91 40-4245 6666 and come to Masab Tank. Do not wait for a convenient appointment at a nearer centre.

The same everywhere

What does not change between centres

A district hospital should not be a lesser version of the city one. These are the things we hold constant.

  • The same consultantsSpecialists rotate across the group. The surgeon you meet in Nalgonda may well be operating at Masab Tank the following week.
  • The same lens and implant rangeMonofocal, aspheric, toric, multifocal and extended-depth-of-focus IOLs are available wherever cataract surgery is performed.
  • The same written estimateTests, procedure, lens, follow-ups — itemised before booking, in Telugu or English.
  • The same consent conversationWhat the procedure does, what it will not fix, what can go wrong and what the alternative is, explained before you sign anything.
  • The same records systemYour images and notes follow you between centres, so a referral does not mean repeating every test.

FAQs

Questions patients ask us

How many MediVision centres are there?

Five — Masab Tank and KPHB in Hyderabad, Warangal, Nalgonda, and Badvel in Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh.

Which centre is open 24×7?

Only Masab Tank runs a round-the-clock eye emergency desk. For sudden vision loss, injury, chemical exposure or severe eye pain at any hour, call +91 40-4245 6666 and come to Masab Tank.

Which centres offer SILK?

SILK — the flapless ELITA lenticule procedure — is performed at Masab Tank and KPHB. Conventional LASIK and PRK are available more widely, including Warangal and Nalgonda.

Is cataract surgery performed at every centre?

Yes, at all five, with the same phacoemulsification protocols and the same IOL range. Femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery is performed at Masab Tank.

Do I need to go to Hyderabad for a second opinion?

Usually not. Complex cornea and oculoplasty cases at our district centres are reviewed jointly with the Hyderabad consultants, so you get the specialist opinion before deciding whether the journey is necessary.

Can I book at any centre with one phone number?

Yes — +91 90001 80035 books at all five. KPHB also has a direct line on +91 90000 16277.
