Clear vision, and the
faces that light up with it
Advanced eye care across five centres in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh — cataract, LASIK, SILK, retina, cornea, glaucoma and children's eye care. NABH-accredited, and looking after families here since 1993.
One eye hospital, thirty-four years of the same standard
MediVision opened in Hyderabad in 1993 with a single consulting room. Today it is a group of 5 centres — a 50-bed flagship at Masab Tank, a busy second hospital at KPHB, and three district centres in Warangal, Nalgonda and Badvel.
What has not changed is how the work is done: the diagnosis is explained with the scan on the screen in front of you, the cost is written down before anything is booked, and if you do not need surgery we will say so.
- Every sub-speciality under one roofCataract, refractive, retina, cornea, glaucoma, oculoplasty, paediatric and squint — so a case that crosses two clinics is settled in one visit.
- The same consultants at every centreOur specialists rotate across the group. You get the surgeon, not the postcode.
- Costs before commitmentA written estimate covering tests, lens choice and follow-ups, with insurance paperwork handled in-house.
Ten specialities, one hospital
Most eye problems do not arrive neatly labelled. Having every clinic in the same building means the right consultant is down the corridor, not across the city.
Cataract Surgery
Micro-incision and femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, with the full range of monofocal, toric and multifocal lenses.
Explore cataractComprehensive Ophthalmology
A full diagnostic examination that checks the whole eye — not just what prescription you need.

Freedom from glasses through LASIK, SILK, PRK, ICL or refractive lens exchange — matched to your cornea, not to a trend.
Explore refractive / LASIKCornea & Dry Eye
Keratoconus cross-linking, corneal transplantation and a dedicated dry-eye clinic with IPL therapy.
Explore corneaRetina Care
Diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and retinal detachment — screened early, treated with injections, laser or vitrectomy.
Explore retinaGlaucoma Treatment
The vision glaucoma takes does not come back — which is why detection, not treatment, is the real work.

Ptosis correction, eyelid reconstruction, thyroid eye disease and blocked tear ducts — functional surgery around the eye.

Children rarely say their vision is poor — they adapt. We find what they will not tell you.

Squint correction at any age — glasses, prisms, therapy or surgery, depending on what is actually causing the turn.

Flapless laser vision correction on the ELITA platform — no blade, no flap, minimal dry eye.
Explore SILKThe machines your diagnosis rests on
A recommendation is only as good as the measurement behind it. This is the equipment we actually use, and what each one is for.
CATALYS Precision Laser
Femtosecond laser that makes the capsule opening and softens the lens before cataract surgery.
Alcon UNITY Vision System
Combined cataract and vitreoretinal surgical platform, so both can run in the same theatre.
IOLMaster 700
Swept-source biometry that measures the eye so the lens power is right the first time.
ARGOS Optical Biometer
Reads through dense cataracts that other biometers cannot penetrate, avoiding an ultrasound scan.
OCT & OCT Angiography
Cross-sections the retina and optic nerve in microns, and maps retinal blood flow without a dye injection.
Optos Ultra-Widefield Imaging
Photographs a very wide sweep of the retina in a single capture, often without dilating drops.
ELITA SILK Platform
Femtosecond laser used for flapless SILK lenticule vision correction.
Having an eye emergency?
Sudden vision loss, injury, chemical splash or severe eye pain needs care within hours — not days. Our Masab Tank centre runs a 24×7 emergency desk.
What families keep coming back for
Nobody chooses an eye hospital for its brochure. They choose it because someone they trust was treated well there — and because the answers they got made sense.
- You are told what you actually haveThe scan goes on the screen and the finding is pointed out — in Telugu, Hindi or English, whichever is easier for you.
- Surgery only when surgery is the answerA large share of people who come in expecting an operation leave with drops, glasses or a date to come back. That is a good outcome.
- One team, five centresDistrict patients are not sent to a junior. Complex cases move to Masab Tank with the records already sent ahead.
- Cashless insurance handled herePre-authorisation, CGHS, ECHS, Aarogyasri and Ayushman Bharat paperwork is done at the desk, not left to you.
- Follow-up that follows upA call after surgery to check how the drops are going, and a reminder before every review.

In their own words
Shared with permission. We have not tidied them up.
Both eyes were done three weeks apart. What stayed with me is that the desk wrote down the full cost — lens, tests, follow-ups — before we agreed to anything, and the final bill matched it. Somebody rang my daughter on the third day to check the drops were going in properly.
I walked in expecting to be booked for LASIK that afternoon. Instead they spent nearly three hours on tests and told me my corneas were on the thinner side, so surface treatment was the safer route. I was a little annoyed at the time. I have not worn glasses since.
Diabetic for years and nobody had ever shown me my own retina. Here the scan went up on the screen and the doctor pointed out where it was leaking. The swelling has settled since the injections. The reminder calls before each review are the reason I actually turn up.
I had blocked out the whole morning and was with the doctor twenty minutes after my slot. The headaches turned out to be a small uncorrected power, not anything serious. She said so plainly rather than sending me for more tests.
My granddaughter’s eye turn was explained to us twice in Telugu, with a drawing, before we agreed to surgery. The doctor was clear that she may still need patching afterwards and that the turn could be partly corrected, not fully. That honesty is why we came back for the review.

Accreditation
NABH-accredited — and audited on it
NABH accreditation is not a logo you buy. It is an inspection of how instruments are sterilised, how theatre infection is tracked, how a patient complaint is recorded and closed, and how consent is actually taken. It is re-assessed, and it can be withdrawn.
- NABH-accredited hospitalAssessed against the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers standards.
- Documented surgical protocolsSterilisation cycles, theatre discipline and outcome audits recorded for every list, not sampled.
- Empanelled for cashless careRecognised by 30+ insurers and TPAs, plus CGHS, ECHS, Aarogyasri and Ayushman Bharat.
- Informed consent, properly explainedRisks and alternatives gone through in your language before you sign, not at the theatre door.
Not sure what you need? Ask first, book later.
You do not have to work out which speciality you need before you get in touch. Describe what you are noticing — blurring, floaters, watering, a child sitting too close to the television — and our appointment desk points you at the right clinic and the nearest centre.
- No referral letter neededAny speciality can be booked directly.
- We will tell you if it can waitAnd we will tell you plainly if it cannot.

Read moreQuestions we are asked every day
Timings, insurance, dilation and which centre to visit — answered before you have to ring and ask.
What are your timings?
Masab Tank is open Mon–Sat 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM and Sunday mornings until 1:00 PM. KPHB runs Mon–Sat 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM and Sunday until 2:00 PM. Warangal and Nalgonda are open all seven days, 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Badvel is Mon–Sat 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, closed Sunday. The emergency desk at Masab Tank is staffed 24×7 on +91 40-4245 6666.
Can I walk in, or do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are seen at every centre — you will not be turned away. But an appointment usually cuts the wait considerably, especially on Monday mornings and Saturdays, which are the busiest. Book online, call +91 90001 80035, or message us on WhatsApp.
Do you accept insurance and cashless treatment?
Yes. We are empanelled with 30+ insurers and TPAs, and with CGHS, ECHS, Aarogyasri and Ayushman Bharat. Pre-authorisation is handled at our insurance desk rather than left to you — bring your policy details and photo ID, and we will tell you what is covered before the surgery is scheduled. See our empanelments for the full list.
Which centre should I go to?
For a routine check-up, glasses, dry eye or a straightforward cataract, go to whichever centre is nearest. For SILK, complex retinal surgery, corneal transplants, oculoplasty or paediatric surgery under anaesthesia, you will be treated at Masab Tank or KPHB. Each centre page lists exactly what it does and what it refers onward, so you do not travel for nothing.
How long does a full eye check-up take?
Budget about 90 minutes for a first visit. That covers registration, vision testing, auto-refraction, eye pressure, a slit-lamp examination and the consultation itself. If your symptoms call for imaging — OCT, visual fields, retinal photography — add another 30 to 45 minutes.
Will my eyes need to be dilated?
For a retinal examination, a diabetic screening or any cataract or refractive assessment, yes. Dilating drops take about 30 minutes to work and leave your vision blurred and light-sensitive for four to six hours, so bring sunglasses and do not plan on driving yourself home. A simple glasses check does not usually need dilation.
Do you treat children?
Yes — we run a dedicated paediatric ophthalmology clinic and a squint service. Children are examined differently from adults, using picture charts, cycloplegic refraction and, where needed, an examination under anaesthesia. Screening for retinopathy of prematurity in newborns is done at Masab Tank.
